Ryan’s passion for heavy music began almost as early as he could listen. Growing up on 80s hair metal and classic rock, he developed a deep fascination with guitar-driven music that quickly evolved into a lifelong pursuit. At 14, he picked up a guitar for the first time and became completely immersed in learning, playing, and creating music — an obsession that continues to shape his life today.
Early influences such as Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Metallica, and Pantera helped form his foundation, while later inspirations like Tool, Machine Head, Parkway Drive, Dayseeker, Bad Omens, and Sleep Token pushed his sound toward a more progressive and polyrhythmic direction. Blending elements of metalcore, alternative metal, and emo, Ryan’s bass playing draws particular inspiration from Justin Chancellor of Tool.
Over the years, Ryan has performed in a variety of bands and roles, building a diverse musical background. His experience includes vocalist/bassist for Dilemma, bassist for Burden of Truth, guitarist/vocalist for Shaman’s Creed, vocalist for Chiron, guitarist for Dark Theology, and most recently bassist for Enola Reven.
Beyond band work, Ryan remains deeply involved in a wide range of creative outlets. He records solo material, streams electric guitar play-along sessions, writes and performs original music as a solo artist, and explores other artistic pursuits including painting and creative writing. Whether performing live, creating in the studio, or sharing music online, Ryan’s focus remains the same: authentic expression through heavy music.
Looking ahead with Enola Reven, Ryan keeps his philosophy simple:
“Let’s make music with heart and soul, have fun doing it, and bring people together.”
